How to Replace the Ballast

The Tools You Need​

✔ A Phillips screwdriver

Step 1. Remove the panels​

What you need​

  • A Phillips screwdriver
  1. Remove the screws from the front and side panels.
  2. Take off the panels to access the inside.

Step 2. Locate and Remove the Ballast​

What you need​

  • A Phillips screwdriver
  1. Find the ballast on the motherboard.
  2. Unplug the connector (usually labeled J2).
  3. Remove the ballast.

Step 3. Install the New Ballast​

What you need​

  • A Phillips screwdriver
  1. Plug in the new ballast.
  2. Secure it in place.

Step 4. Reinstall the Panels​

Reverse the steps in Step 1 to put the panels back.

Step 5. Power On and Test​

Turn on the machine and check if it works properly. If you have any issues, contact customer support.
