How to Replace the Ballast

The Tools You Need

Step 1. Remove the panels

What you need

  • A Phillips screwdriver
  1. Remove the screws from the front and side panels.
  2. Take off the panels to access the inside.

Step 2. Locate and Remove the Ballast

What you need

  • A Phillips screwdriver
  1. Find the ballast on the motherboard.
  2. Unplug the connector (usually labeled J2).
  3. Remove the ballast.

Step 3. Install the New Ballast

What you need

  • A Phillips screwdriver
  1. Plug in the new ballast.
  2. Secure it in place.

Step 4. Reinstall the Panels

Reverse the steps in Step 1 to put the panels back.

Step 5. Power On and Test

Turn on the machine and check if it works properly. If you have any issues, contact customer support.
